And more cases of people with symptoms of cholera are being recorded across the country, with the latest being of the Chinese nationals. The source told Daily Nation that eight Chinese were currently admitted and receiving treatment at Chawama Cholera Treatment Centre in Lusaka. “There are about 8 Chinese nationals who are also battling cholera, they are all admitted to Chawama Cholera treatment Centre,” the source said. Meanwhile, almost 50 deaths and over 2000 cholera cases have been recorded since the pandemic broke out last October. More recently the outbreak spread to low-density areas including Rhodespark, Woodlands, Balastone, Chelstone, Silverest, Chamba Valley and Ibex Meanwood, among others.
