He explained that his chiefdom has been adversely affected because of the dry spell adding that most of the crops in his area had withered. In an interview with the Daily Nation, Chief Sinazongwe said as a chiefdom they were thinking of diversification as a way of alleviating this problem such as irrigation. “All our crops are dried up we don’t know what to do now that is why we are talking about irrigation this is the time we need irrigation throughout the whole valley,” he said.
