And the traditional leader said agriculture sector should be the mainstay of Zambia’s economy because it had a potential to create jobs and add to the number of jobs Government sought to realise. For example, he cited Kaputa to have huge potential to grow cassava for export and domestic purposes. “Cassava is on high demand locally and overseas and therefore, we are seeking the mechanisation of agriculture in the Chiefdom using tractors,” he said. The traditional leader further advised members of the Patriotic Front in Kaputa to endeavour to imitate President Edgar Lungu’s character of humility and inclusive leadership if real development was to be realised.
