Tue, 30 May 2017 10:56:23 +0000 By JACK MAPAPAYI THE Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in North Western Province has seized expired goods worth K3o,300 from 120 shops in six districts. CCPC provincial investigator James Chalungumana told the Daily Nation in an interview named the six districts as Solwezi, Manyinga, Kabompo, Mufumbwe, Zambezi and Chavuma. Among the districts inspected, Zambezi district recorded the highest number of seized goods worth K5,345. ‘’As per our mandate, we conducted some operations in the districts and seized assorted goods which were expired,’’ Mr Chalungumana said. He warned traders who have a habit of selling products which have exceeded their shelf life as well removing labels on products and placing new ones on those that have expired to desist from engaging in such trade practices. ‘’I would also like to advise consumers to take time to read and understand the information provided on labels for various products before […]
