Tue, 04 Oct 2016 09:10:12 +0000 THE Anti-Corruption Commission in Chirundu has arrested the chief executive officer of Preston Bus Services Preston Mbozi for corrupt practices involving K600.00. Mr. Mbozi, 28, of 33 Luntanya Street, Libala Stage 2 in Lusaka, was arrested and charged with one count of corrupt transactions with public officers contrary to Section (19) 2 of the Anti-Corruption Act no. 3 of 2012. This is according a statement issued to the Daily Nation by ACC public relations manager Timothy Moono. Mr. Moono explained that particulars of the offence were that on unknown dates but between 1st June 2015 and 1st April 2016 in Chirundu District of the Lusaka Province, Mr Mbozi did corruptly offer K500 and actually gave K600 to Cosmas Chalusa, the council secretary for Chirundu District Council as an inducement for him to expedite the approval process of an application made by Preston Bus Services to run a bus station […]
