Wed, 17 Jan 2018 12:48:53 +0000 By JUSTINA MULENGA A BOY, aged 16 of Libala South in Lusaka yesterday denied two counts of aggravated robbery, and rape contrary to the laws of Zambia. The boy appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates court and took plea before magistrate Albert Mwaba. He is alleged to have acted together with another man who has since committed suicide by taking a poisonous substance. It is alleged that the two tied, beat and raped a 25-year-old woman who sustained multiple cuts on the neck and chest. In count one, particulars are that on December 22, 2017, the juvenile whilst armed with a knife stole a Microsoft Lumia cellphone valued at K7, 500 the property of the victim and or immediately before or after did use or threaten to use actual violence to the said person in order to obtain or retain the property or overcome resistance from it being stolen.
