Mr Sinyinda claimed Barotseland would soon be a nation on its own, adding that the issue of secession as advocated for by the Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) was a complex one which some people may not understand. Mr Sinyinda said the proceedings had reached an irreversible stage and appealed to the people of Western Province to exercise patience as they march to freedom. Mr Ngambela announced this when the people of Barotseland celebrated (coliso) the 12th anniversary of their King Lubosi Imwiko II in power at the weekend. He said it was time the people of Western Province were informed on the proceedings and the way forward, in line with the decision by the Lozis to secede from the rest of Zambia.
