The match between Zanaco and Nkana is expected to be an uphill battle because both teams have never won the Barclays Cup title before. Nkana are making a return since the 2014 competition where they lost 3-0 to Zesco in the finals at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. The two sides have met twice this Super Division season with Zanaco beating Nkana 2-0 on July 2 at home in Lusaka (Sunset Stadium) but suffered a 4-2 defeat in the return leg in Kitwe at Nkana Stadium on August 26.
