Mon, 03 Apr 2017 10:37:37 +0000 CHAVUMA District Commissioner Benjamin Mufunga has advised marketeers in the area to desist from practicing politics and tribalism in trading places. Mr. Mufunga who addressed marketeers at Chavuma Main market yesterday said no individual marketeer should claim to be in charge of the market and victimize others based on tribal or political affiliation. The district Commissioner warned that punitive measures would be taken against those that were in the habit of chasing fellow marketeers from trading place based on tribal or political lines, adding that the running of the market was a sole responsibility of the local authority. “Markets are public places and every citizen is free to conduct their businesses there. So, no one should claim ownership of any market,” he said.
