Mon, 30 Nov -0001 00:00:00 +0000 By NATION REPORTER GOVERNMENT has unearthed a scam in which some police officers are allegedly conniving with agriculture cooperative officials to steal subsidised farm inputs. Minister of Home Affairs Stephen Kampyongo, told ZNBC in an interview yesterday that Government had since directed police commissioners in the ten provinces to intervene and bring the culprits to book. Mr Kampyongo said he had received disturbing reports from Shiwan’gandu and Chinsali districts where some police officers and cooperative officials had been reported to the police over the illegal activities. He said the commissioners of police must work with all district commissioners to curb the scam. Mr Kampyongo had described the theft of farm inputs as economic sabotage.
