Sat, 22 Apr 2017 14:41:41 +0000 Dear Editor The recent warning by Home Affairs Minister, Stephen Kampyongo against people who abuse the social media to commit crime is long overdue. It has become a common phenomenon for some people to commit crime on social media with impunity is very unacceptable. They do this to escape the dragnet. Mr Kampyongo sounded the warning on Friday April 14, 2017 in the wake of Economic Equity Party (EEP) president, Chilufya Tayali who was arrested for libel. The EEP leader posted a defamatory statement on his Facebook page against the Inspector General of Police, Kakoma Kanganja. Mr. Tayali alleged that the Inspector General of Police was trying to cover his inefficiencies by ordering the arrest of UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema and slapping him with treason among other charges.
