Copperbelt police commissioner Charity Katanga confirmed the accident. She said her office received a report of an industrial accident which occurred around 01:57 hours injuring some of the employees with burns and fractured bones. “Dingi Mugode, the marketing manager reported that there was an accident at the brewery which left eight people injured. “Of the injured, three were observed and discharged while five are still admitted to Roan and Thompson Hospitals respectively,” she said. This is the second time that the brewery has recorded a similar accident. Last year a pressure cooker exploded leaving one dead and injuring nine workers.
