Sat, 08 Oct 2016 11:25:10 +0000 57 UPND cadres accused of conduct likely to cause breach of Peace told a Luanshya Magistrate that they they conducted themselves in the unbecoming manner for the love of the party leadership. The 57 were asked by the court why they threatened peace by their conduct. The 57 who were represented by UPND lawyers Tom Shamakamba and Chimuka Maggubwi pleaded guilty to the charge when they appeared before Luanshya Resident Magistrate Dominic Makalicha. Magistrate Makalicha convicted and sentenced the group to a fine of 12 kwacha respectively, the fee was settled by the accused counsel and were later released. The case which started around 17 hours was only disposed of by 21: 32 hours. Meanwhile four UPND female cadres were on Thursday arrested by police for booing police officers in Luanshya.
