THE Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) has revoked Honeybee Pharmacy Limited’s licence and dismissed claims that the two parties were negotiating for an out of court settlement.ZAMRA in a press release issued yesterday stated that it had revoked Pharmaceutical Licence Number PL/5-00091/19 that was issued to Honeybee Pharmacy.This was “for contravening terms and conditions of the pharmaceutical licence, failure to carry out remedial measures as outlined in the notice of intent to revoke the pharmaceutical licence and for ceasing to carry on business as Honeybee Pharmacy without giving notice to the Authority,” said ZAMRA Senior Public Relations Officer Christabel Mutale Iliamupu.Ms Lliamupu also dismissed media reports that the two entities were engaged in an out of court settlement.“To this effect, the Authority has since directed Honeybee Pharmacy to surrender the aforementioned licence to the Authority and further ordered that medical products on their premises be quarantined until further guidance from the Authority,” she said.But in […]
