By NATION REPORTERTHE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has dismissed claims that under age persons are also registering as voters.ECZ acting public relations manager, Sylvia Bwalya, said they were aware of the images and information circulating on social media of the alleged under-age person registered as a voter.Ms Bwalya however said investigations indicated that it was a staged picture.Ms Bwalya said the requirements for one to register as a voter were that one must be a Zambian citizen of 18 years and above and in possession of a green National Registration Card.“Anyone who does not meet these requirements and attempts to register as a voter commits an offence which is liable for prosecution,” she said.Ms Bwalya called on the public to report anyone attempting to break the law.
No underage on registers, says ECZ
