GOVERNMENT Chief Whip Brian Mundubile says the attempts by the United Party for National Development UPND to move an impeachment motion against President Edgar Lungu is a desperate scheme aimed at soliciting cheap political mileage ahead of the 2021 general election.Mr Mundubile says UPND Mazabuka MP Gary Nkombo’s request to the Speaker of the National Assembly is an act in futility because such a motion was never placed on the Order paper.He explained that Mr Nkombo merely expressed an intention to move a motion of impeachment in 2018 but it was never placed on the Order paper for him to claim that he wants the motion to be restored on the Order paper.
