By SIMON MUNTEMBAGOVERNNMENT has announced that schools will be reverting back to the old calendar next year.Ministry of General Education Permanent Secretary, Jobbicks Kalumba said the schools calendar year for 2020 will close on December 4, to pave way for the national examinations for Grades 7, 9 and 12.Dr Kalumba made the announcement in a circular to all the provincial education offices and district education board secretaries yesterday,He said the schools will open on January 4, 2021 to signify term one and not term three of 2020 as earlier communicated.“All institutional heads should ensure that all uncompleted curriculum content for 2020 is carried forward and completed in term one of 2021,” Dr Kalumba said.
