By GRACE CHAILE-LESOETSAARRESTING officer detective inspector Lombe Chulu has told the court that Kenneth Makina admitted to having shot dead his estranged wife because she provoked him.This is in a matter where Makina, 42, a teacher, is facing two counts of murder and acts intending to cause grievous bodily harm.It is alleged that on February 28, 2019, Makina murdered his wife Charity Jikubi, a police officer and with intent to maim, destroy, or disable, caused grievous bodily harm to Mr Eustone Kapotwe, his landlord, by shooting him in his right thigh.Testifying before High Court Judge Pixie Yangailo, yesterday, Chulu told the court that on that fateful day around 08:15 hours in the morning, Makina did report himself at Woodlands police station.He said the accused reported that he had shot his wife, Ms Jikubi.“I interviewed Makina who narrated that his former wife had gone to his house to collect a wardrobe on that morning and it […]
