By SANFROSSA MANYINDAONE employee of Lubambe Copper Mine died in the early hours of yesterday after an accident underground.Lubambe Copper Mine has since suspended all production activities underground.Company Communications Manager Loyce Saili confirmed the incident.Ms Saili stated that only critical tasks such as water pumping and ventilation would continue underground.“The mine management, staff and employees offer the family their deepest condolences.“ The company will support the family of the deceased in this time of the tragedy,” she said.Ms Saili further indicated that investigations by the safety department to establish the cause of the accident were underway.
