By OLIVER SAMBOKOSTAKEHOLDERS in the health sector have commended the British Government for giving Zambia K4.6 million to be used to improve power supply at Lusaka’s Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching hospital.Medical for Quality Healthcare in Zambia (MQHZ) Director-General Dr Quince Mwabu said amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, more funds were needed for the recovery of the pact caused by the Covid-19.Dr Mwabu said his organisation has received the news that UK will give Zambia additional assistance, with gratitude as the move will allow the country to do more to fight the pandemic which has disrupted social and economic fortunes throughout the world.“As MQHZ, we welcome the move by the British Government to give the country more funding for the Covid-19 pandemic which has severely damaged the health system,” he said.Dr Mwabu said the continued power deficit caused by climate change has had a negative impact on the health sector especially at the Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching […]
