By GRACE CHAILE-LESOETSATHREE former District Commissioners from Western Province have sued the State demanding payment of their outstanding terminal benefits.Mr Ndombo Litambo, the former Limulunga DC, Alfred Miyato, former Mitete DC and former Shangombo DC, Sampaya Nyambe have cited the Attorney General Likando Kalaluka as the respondent in the matter. The trio wants the Lusaka High Court to order the state to reinstate them on the payroll pending payment of their full terminal benefits.Mr Litambo and two others are also seeking an order that the State pays them salaries from the time they were removed from the payroll until the time they are reinstated on the payroll or paid their terminal benefits.In the statement of claim, Mr Litambo stated that his contract of employment was terminated on January 3 this year but his terminal benefits from the provincial administration comprising leave days from early 2013 to January 2020 including repatriation allowance remain unpaid to date.Mr […]
