By SANFROSSA MANYINDAHE traffic flow at Kasumbalesa border in Chililabombwe has improved by about 80 percent, the Zambia Revenue Authority has disclosed.There were a lot of trucks that were marooned at the border in the recent past especially those that were headed to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) due to certain procedures and the size of the road.Last month, ZRA expressed confidence that the measures that were put in place at Kasumbalesa border would see the flow of traffic.The Zambian officials made an agreement with their Congolese counterparts to have certain procedures carried out on the Zambian side so that trucks were not taking long to be cleared.An integrated border clearing system was initiated.The two countries also agreed that the working hours be increased instead of knocking off at 18:00 officers were now operating up to 21:00 hours.ZRA Corperate Communications Manager, Topsy Sikalinda, said the improvement of the flow was due to the use […]
