BY PETER MALASHAAN ILLEGAL miner has died in Mkushi at former Sacko Mine Limited after the earth collapsed and buried him alive.Central province police commissioner Chola Katanga confirmed the accident to the Daily Nation in an interview.Mr. Katanga said the incident occurred on Friday between 16:00 and 17:00 hours whilst the victim was working.Mr. Katanga identified the victim as Enock Mupeta 22, of an unknown address in Itala compound. Mr. Katanga further said after police in conjunction with the fire brigade rushed to the scene where the body was retrieved and pronounced dead upon reaching Mkushi district hospital.Mr. Katanga added that the body was deposited at Mkushi district hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.“Brief facts of the matter are that the victim was working at the Sacko mine.
