By RABECCA BANDAA CORE banking and support manager has told the magistrates court how he couldn’t determine physical presence of an initiator of K200, 000 transaction at Atlas Mara Bank.Mr Anthony Mpanga, 29, a Core banking application and support manager said he was unable to tell whether a person physically initiated the transaction or not.This was in the matter before magistrate Felix Kaoma where Rashid Kyagulanyi, 27, an electrical engineer of Matero is accused of having unauthorised access to data that is essential for the provision of an essential service, contrary to sections 99(1) and 99(8) of the electronic communication and transaction Act number 21 of 2009 of the Laws of Zambia.Particulars of the offence were that Kyagulanyi on dates unknown but between December 31, 2019, and January 5, 2020, with other persons unknown did intentionally access Atlas Mara Bank Limited database, a database that is essential for the provision of an essential service without lawful […]
