By SANDRA MACHIMATHE Zambia Gaming Association will soon commence a countrywide exercise to ensure compliance for health guidelines and regulatory requirements as casinos resume operations, public relations director Simon Lungu has said.Mr Lungu said the organisation would ensure all its members had necessary requirements such as licences.He commended President Edgar Lungu for allowing casinos to resume operations subject to meeting health guidelines that mitigated the spread of Covid-19.Mr Lungu has since urged its members running casinos, betting houses and slot businesses to uphold the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health.He said they should ensure that clients wear face masks and provide hand sanitisers or hand washing facilities at entrances.Casinos which carter for other businesses that fall under its mandate such as slot businesess and betting houses, he said, were key in contributing to Zambia’s social and economic development.Mr Lungu said they do this through remittance of taxes to the treasury and also contributed to […]
