By SANFROSSA MANYINDATHE flow of trucks that were marooned for more than five days at Kasumbalesa border has begun, Chililabombwe Member of Parliament (MP) Richard Musukwa has said.Mr Musukwa, who is also Mines Minister, said the flow of the trucks begun on Tuesday after Copperbelt Minister Japhen Mwakalombe held a meeting with officials from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in Katanga province.Over 1000 trucks were marooned in Chililabombwe and stretched up to Chingola because the DRC government had closed the border.“Trucks are flowing now. I went on the ground to check what the situation looks like. All the issues surrounding the matter have been resolved,” Mr Musukwa said.But Green Party President, Peter Sinkamba, complained that keeping truckers for many days in Zambia was much worse a risk than bars Government had ordered to close.Mr Sinkamba said that it would have been best if the Government of Zambia had ordered trucks to return to their countries […]
