By AARON CHIYANZOZAMBIANS should seriously take up fish farming as this will contribute to the country’s food security, President Edgar Lungu has advised.President Lungu also said the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) will start disbursing funds to qualifying beneficiaries once a board for the commision is put in place.He however said crop diversification should not be overlooked as citizens take up fish farming seriously.The President said this yesterday when he participated in fish harvesting from the State House ponds. “In our quest to boost fish production, we should not overlook crop diversification. We should ensure that our staple food maize is sufficiently grown, including soya beans among other crops,” Mr Lungu said.
