By NOEL IYOMBWAMANDEVU Member of Parliament Jean Kapata yesterday led several councillors in the constituency to sensitise the community on the dangers of Coronavirus (Covid-19) and some of the preventive measures.Ms Kapata, who is minister of Lands, donated hand washing equipment, disinfectants and other cleaning materials to 14 markets in the constituency.She called on residents in the constituency to observe hygiene to prevent the spread of the virus.She said Covid-19 is a serious disease which has killed a lot of people globally hence the need for the country to put preventive measures that will stop its spread. Ms Kapata called on residents in respective areas to avoid social gatherings such as for funerals and church.Lusaka deputy mayor Christopher Shakafuswa commended Ms Kapata for the donation as hygiene was paramount to defeat coronavirus.Mr Shakafuswa called on other members of Parliament to emulate Ms Kapata by taking material that would help fight the pandemic.“As deputy mayor of […]
