By CHARLES MUSONDATHE Ndola High Court has stayed contempt proceedings against Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga and seven others in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court.Lusaka Chief Resident Magistrate Lameck Mwale yesterday told Kamanga and his seven co-accused that there will be no further action in the Subordinate Court against them, pending further guidance by the Ndola High Court.This was after defence lawyer Chifumu Banda told Magistrate Mwale that the defence team was in receipt of an order signed by Ndola High Court Judge Mary Mulanda staying contempt proceedings.Banda then submitted the order to Mwale and sought the court’s guidance.In turn, Mwale told the accused persons that in view of what Banda had submitted and in compliance with the High Court, there will be no further action against them in his court as contempt proceedings had been stayed.“We shall await further guidance from the High Court,” Mwale said.The case was yesterday scheduled for ruling […]
