My MICHAEL MIYOBATHE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says the number of foreign players in the Super Division will drastically reduce during the 2020/2021 soccer season.FAZ president Andrew Kamanga said the association had several meetings with Super Division clubs who agreed to the introduction of a quota for foreign players to be engaged by a club.Speaking when he featured on CBC TV, Kamanga reaffirmed FAZ’s commitment to support the development of local players who are expected to play for the national team.“We have had a chat with the clubs, at some point we had a club which had almost only foreign players, we sat with clubs and decided that going forward we will start implementing the quota system.“Clubs had commitments with players so in terms of going forward you will see a drastic reduction especially from next season there will be very few foreign players in each team,” Kamanga said.Kamanga encouraged Super Division clubs to […]
