By MUYANI SHINJABALELACK of seriousness towards set measures to curb the Corona virus (Covid-19) has irked authorities in Ndola.Most residents were not observing social distancing and were even crowding public and other places even in the face of Covid-19, which was sweeping across the globe.Authorities have thus appealed to residents to avoid overcrowding as it could provide fertile ground for spread of the deadly disease.Ndola District Commissioner, Antony Katongo, observed that people were overcrowded some places such as the national registration office without taking into consideration social distancing.Mr Katongo threatened to temporary suspend the issuance of National Registration Cards if people failed to comply with social distancing.“I will be left with no choice but to temporary suspend the issuance of National Registration Cards if people will not comply with social distancing,” he said.He said it was saddening that a lot of people were not taking the measures which Government had introduced to curtail the spread […]
