By CHARLES MUSONDA A LUSAKA teacher has pleaded not guilty to 16 counts of theft by public servant involving K141,000 belonging to the Professional Teachers Union of Zambia (PROTUZ). Before Lusaka Magistrate Martha Miti on Monday was Mukuwe Mukuwe, 35, a secretary at PROTUZ. In the first and second count, particulars of the offence are that on November 22, 2019 Mukuwe, being employed as teacher in government and as PROTUZ secretary, stole K8,000 and K11,000, which came into his possession by virtue of his employment. In counts three and four, particulars of the offence are that on August 2, 2019, Mukuwe stole K7,000 and K5,000.
