A police post under construction in Kanyanje area of Pamodzi Township in Ndola is scheduled to be commissioned soon, says Pamodzi councillor Manasseh Siwila. Mr Siwila said the project started in November 2018 and had injected approximately K50, 000 with some materials being sourced from elsewhere. He said the police post had been constructed with the help of many other cooperating partners and the local authority through the Ward Development Fund. Pamodzi Township has another police post near the market. In an interview yesterday, he said the police post would curb crime and enhance security in the area which experienced crime.The councillor stated that Kanyanje area had about 20,000 residents hence the need for the facility to protect the people and property in the area.
