SOCCER icon Kalusha Bwalya has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) challenging the Football Association of Zambia’s decision to declare him ineligible to stand in the up-coming elections slated for March 28.And Kalusha through his Sports lawyers Paolo TORCHETTI, RUIZ-HUERTA & CRESPO have requested for provisional measures that the upcoming presidential elections be suspended pending the final result of the case before the CAS.Kalusha’s lawyers have also written to FAZ saying he appealed in the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS), and also copied on the correspondence to the FAZ General Secretary and his deputy, in order to vacate its decision and to have him declared eligible to stand in the elections.“As you know, the elections are scheduled to be held on March 28, We have proposed that the matter be held on an expedited basis so that the CAS can issue an award before the presidential elections.
