Dear Editor,
I THINK out there, like me, there are many who are worried with the performance of our highly prized Tonse Alliance.
We are worried because this seemingly political giant in political battles does not appear to be doing the right things.
Time is not on its side to pick up a right candidate to challenge UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema in next year’s general elections.
All we have heard are tough talk which to some of us, make us turn for our use of chicken blood in this matter.
Up to now we have not been given any little indication who is likely to replace HH at State House.
Tonse Alliance is indeed filled up with political heavyweights who are supposed to know and do better.
Without proper direction, easy to see by all, it may prove a difficult knot for voters to make up choices for their candidates for the 2026 elections.
Maybe only maybe, Tonse wants to surprise its enemies in the game, but that does not always go according to plans.
Some political giant with a strong financial muscle may just surprise Tonse. With some opposition political leaders openly showing their love for UPND, Tonse may find itself on the wrong side of the fence.
What always appears a simple job can easily because a tricky affair if not properly handled.
My earnest appeal to Tonse Alliance is that it should be seen to be heading in the right direction.
For me, I think once a presidential candidate is known, it should not be hard to dislodge UPND from power due to the hardships the majority of Zambians are currently going through under the so-called new dawn administration.
Please Tonse Alliance show us what stuff you are made of so we can quickly make up our minds before it becomes too late.
MOSES SYAKALIMA,
