HEALTH Minister Health Elijah Muchima has dissolved the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) board citing non-compliance with Act No. 17 of 2024.
The act stipulates that the board should have nine members, but the current board had 19.
Dr. Muchima said the board’s functions will cease until a new board is constituted to align with the law.
Meanwhile, Dr. Muchima dismissed reports that the country had recorded a case of Ebola in Chavuma, dismissing the claims as mere rumours.
