The Zambia Livestock Union Cooperative Limited has urged the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries to deploy extension officers in areas affected by water contamination to sensitize farmers and mitigate further livestock losses.
This follows reports that 17 herds of cattle have died after drinking from contaminated water sources near Bubani Resources Limited and Ozone Mines in Mumbwa.
