THE Tonse Alliance has called on Government to suspend the introduction of the new currency and go back to the people for wider consultation.
Speaking at a press briefing, Tonse Alliance spokesperson Sean Tembo, said Government through the Bank of Zambia never consulted anybody, adding that everyone was blank about the introduction of the new currency.
Mr Tembo said not even the Bankers Association of Zambia, Zambia Association of Manufacturers, Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants or any other trade association was consulted and all key stakeholders were all blank.
