There have been complaints from stakeholders over the process in the procurement of desks with some branding it corrupts.
But Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Mambo Hamaundu says the government places high premium on transparency in the CDF process as it is not immune to transparency.
Mr Hamaundu however said some of the people expressing concern on the process maybe those whose bids were not picked which was a normal occurrence in such an environment.
He says the Procurement Act provides for an avenue for unsuccessful bidders to appeal against the process unlike complaining and branding the procurement corrupt.
