Speaking in an exclusive interview, Mr. Mangani said one of the ways Government could use to reduce inflation is by giving capacity to companies to engage in mass production.
The former minister said prices have continue to go up because of scarcity of commodities.
He said neglecting productive sectors of the economy will only worsen the spending power of citizens thereby leading to ultimate poverty.
Mr. Mangani explained that most of the economic problems the country is currently facing are a result of not being productive and being an import reliant country.
He said reduced production in key sectors such as agriculture and mining if not addressed will be disastrous for Zambia.
