President Hichilema says CATL should find ways of upgrading the railway line as it has remained a critical component of Zambia’s economic transport sector.
Mr Hichilema said the TAZARA Railway had become dilapidated over time and it was important that the Chinese who had donated the asset to Zambia should consider of revamping it through modern technology.
He said the status of the TAZARA Railway Line could no longer meet the demands of the current economic requirements, hence the need for new investment in the asset.
President Hichilema was speaking when he visited the CATL headquarters in Ningde district.
