Mpondela challenges Foloko again

AFTER losing the 2018 National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) elections by just two votes, Zambia Athletics (ZA) president Elias Mpondela has expressed interests to Challenge incumbent NOCZ president Alfred Foloko for the NOCZ top job.
According to the names unveiled by NOCZ, Mpondela and Foloko will face off in another intriguing election to select a new executive to lead the Olympic Committee up to 2026.
Foloko is deemed to have had a successful tenure as NOCZ President as he was elected on both the ANOCA and Afica Judo Association leadership during the time he served as NOCZ president.
The elections slated for January 15th will also see incumbent vice President Hazel Kennedy going up against Swimming Union President Guy Phiri and Zamabia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) president Nakaonga Kakoma.
Boniface Kambikambi will be seeking a second term as NOCZ General Secretary as he faces a challenge from Musunka Silungwe whilst handball president Victor Banda has retained his post as treasurer after going unposed.
Zambia National Equestrian Federation representative Suzzana Dakik, Roderick Ndlobvu from the Zambia Basketball Association and Mutale Masala from the Weightlifting Association will serve as board members.
