FORMER President Edgar Lungu has donated various assorted items to sisters of St. Claire Monastery in celebrat- ing New Year in Chongwe.
Mr Lungu who attended the mass at St. Claire Mon- astery yesterday, donated assorted food items to the sisters.
He said Christmas was the time to give and to receive as well as to share love.
The former Head of State said it is important that people continued showing love and care for one another especially to those who were in need.
Mr Lungu said during this season people should show love because it is a very car- dinal component.
And St Claire Parish chairman Jonas Chikondi thanked the former Presi- dent for the various infra- structure developments taken across the country.
Mr Chikondi thanked Mr Lungu for the construction of a clinic in the area which is benefiting the community.
He said he hoped the new government will carry on with infrastructure devel- opment which the previous regime left.
Mr Chikondi however wished and prayed for Pres- ident Lungu’s good health as well as the former First Lady, Esther Lungu.
President Lungu was ac- companied by his wife, for- mer Minister of Mines Rich- ard Musukwa and former Disaster Mmanagement and Mitigation Unity Na- tional Coordinator Chanda Kabwe.
