THE Lusaka High Court has granted Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha leave to commence contempt proceedings against PF Central Committee chairperson for information and publicity Raphael Nakacinda from whom police recorded a warn and caution statement yesterday but by press time he had not yet been charged.
The State had asked for leave to commence contempt proceedings against Mr Nakacinda over his allegations that President Hakainde Hichilema had summoned the judges over the MPs’ case.
After hearing Mr. Kabesha ex parte in the application for contempt against Mr. Nakacinda yesterday, the court granted the Attorney-General leave to commence the contempt proceedings.
Mr Nakacinda alleged during a public meeting with PF members that President Hichilema had summoned judges to State House.
