FORMER Patriotic Front member Francis Muchemwa was yesterday questioned by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on undisclosed cases.
ACC spokesperson Queen Chibwe confirmed that the Commission had interrogated Mr Muchemwa for over seven hours but could not disclose the details.
Ms Chibwe said the interrogations started around 10 hours and went on up to 17:00 hours .
“We cannot disclose the specific details since it was an ongoing investigation which would be concluded later on,’’ She said.
Mr Muchemwa has been in self-exile in South Africa after the PF lost power forfear of being attacked by UPND cadres.
He has on several occasions pleaded with the police to clear his name for the suspected murder of a UPND member, Lawrence Banda, using a firearm, insisting he was nowhere near the place when that the Kaoma by-election happened.
Mr Muchemwa also said in a recent interview with the Daily Nation that there were people who could be interviewed to clear his name.
