LEADERSHIP Movement President Richard Silumbe has expressed happiness that resources his party has allocated to youths is being put to good use.
Dr Silumbe said youths across were responding well to the empowerment funds.
He therefore said the party was encouraged to do more and involve more youths in the programme for the sake of the development agenda of the country.
Dr Silumbe was speaking shortly after he toured the Leadership Movement Kitwe Manufacturing Centre yesterday.
The centre has seen a number youths, men and women not only to keep themselves busy, but to also earn a living through the manufacturing of different types of machines.
Some of the machines that the centre is manufacturing are egg incubators, hammer mills among others.
“Our initiatiate does not only help the youth but also helping the government to fulfil it’s promise of development the country.
” We all know that production is the answer and key to developement especially when local products are supported,” he said.
Dr Silumbe advised all members who did not receive the empowerment funds in the previous disbursement to visit the offices and get their own share.
