IN an effort to continue positively contributing to the growth of the financial sector through improved service delivery, Atlas Mara Bank Zambia has invested over K3 million to refurbish its Lusaka main branch.
The bank has continued to maintain a presence across the country with 50 branches across the 10 provinces, according to Atlas Mara Bank Chief Executive Officer, James Koni, during the launch of the branch yetsreday.
According to Mr Koni, the branch network was a key enabler for customer’s digital migration journey.
He pledged that Atlas Mara would continue to invest and ensure that customers had access to both physical and digital access
“We continue to maintain a branch network commensurate to our ambition, which is to be present in every part of Zambia.
“Our branch network will continue to be an important touchpoint to our customers as expand our digital offering through to our Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and Tenga Mobile Money platforms,” he said.
Mr Koni said the Lusaka Main Branch would also be offering customised and personalised services to retail and business customers.
He said the future of banking lies in being truly digital for the convenience and ease of customers while maintaining the necessary touch points in the branch for in-person service as well as taking into consideration their safety in line with COVID-19 guidelines.
And Atlas Mara Bank head of retail and digital banking, Teza Ngulube, said the bank will continue to educate the customers about the digital platforms which become important in the era of the pandemic.
Mr Ngulube said despite the digital channels being important branches represented important touch points where complex cases which needed physical attention can be handled.
