Alarmists should be arrested
Editor,
Some political analyst need to take stock of what they feed our nation because what takes place in other countries does not apply here. We are unique and with a different constitution which govern our states. Our own political analysts must be careful with foreign forces who just want to change regimes so that they can have their preferred people in government.
And it is clear they just want our precious minerals. Leaders should learn to be content and not be alarmists of things they do not understand and cannot substantiate or prove beyond reasonable doubt. Let’s come with a law to convict senseless alarmists.

About smelly bus conductors…
Editor,
I agree with ‘concerned that some bus conductors especially on the small buses are smelly and add to the discomfort of passengers. Those who were there in the eighties will remember a breed of smart and clean conductors with wet look hair and designer clothes from famous Society House boutiques. What has gone wrong? Operators don’t only think of increasing fares. Sampa

Drainages are a mess
Editor,
The drainage system has totally failed. The amount of water has overwhelmed our drainage system. Where will all the water flow to if the ground is too saturated to take in more water. Home owners are facing a tough time. Flooding is everywhere. What can the government do to reduce flooding so that next rain season we do not experience a similar situation.

More schools needed
Editor,
Government schools are too congested. There is need to increase the number of classes per stream to accommodate the increased pupil population. The ratio of teacher, pupil is imbalanced. Teachers are given 70 pupils in a single class. By any standards, this is way too much. Is it any wonder that few pupils pass exams. A teacher ideally should have 30 pupils at the most not double that number. Government should build more schools and spread the pupils. There are many teachers waiting to be employed, lets make use of them.

The socialist party warning
Editor,
Government should check this party that has targeted membership from security forces. Our security wings should not be accessible to political activities. So why is this party seemingly having access and recruiting members from there. Where is our intelligence system. These characters should be flushed out.

The smart or evil?
Editor,
There is nothing smart about what Hakainde Hichilema did to enrich himself through privatization. Miners are suffering because the decisions he made. Selling mines for peanuts. It is evil to cause the suffering of so many people. Lets not celebrate a wrong thing.
