THE Zambia Republican Party (ZRP) has challenged roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwilli to resign from Parliament and ditch his presidential ambitions and concentrate on his businesses if indeed he was happy outside government.
The Roan law maker was quoted in some sections of the media claiming that he was happy to be out of government because he was now able to concentrate on his businesses
But ZRP President Wright Musoma told the Daily Nation in an interview that Mr Kambwilli should consider ditching politics all together if he felt disturbed by government obligations.
Mr Musoma wondered why Mr Kambwilli scorned government despite him clinging to the roan seat in parliament, which was an organ of government.
“This claim by Mr Kambwilli is very contradictory because he says he feels relieved being out of government but at the same time he is even fighting his removal from parliament which is just another organ of government and under the same President,” he said.
Mr Musoma said it was puzzling that a man who a few months ago declared his desperation for the presidency could turn around and despise government, claiming his business were more important to him.
He said Mr Kambwilli should have resigned from government before he was dismissed if he wanted to concentrate on his business. Mr Musoma further charged that Mr Kambwilli was currently not making sense and it was not surprising that some people thought he was reportedly going mad.
He said Mr Kambwilli was either being untruthful over his dismissal or had lost track over the contradictory utterances he made due to acute depression.
Mr Musoma said it was now clear that Mr Kambwilli was unwell and needed help as his utterances did not coordinate.
“This man is just now wasting people’s time, because when he was just fired people started sympathising with him, but as it stands right now the same people are running away from him and it is no secret that this is because they have discovered that they are dealing with a hypocrite,” Mr Musoma said.
