THE Patriotic Front (PF) has no time for juvenile arguments from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in its demands calling for the impeachment of President Edgar Lungu.
PF media director Sunday Chanda has charged his party has no time for juvenile arguments with NDC which is just a political non-governmental organisation headed by a political consultant.
He told the Daily Nation in an interview that careless remarks by NDC spokesperson Eric Chanda deserved no attention from PF as it was full of juvenile arguments.
He was reacting to NDC spokesperson’s statement in which he called for President Edgar Lungu’s impeachment.
On Friday, the NDC spokesperson appealed to Members of Parliament to write to the speaker of the National Assembly to immediately convene a special sitting of Parliament to start the impeachment process of President Edgar Lungu.
The NDC spokesperson Eric Chanda said his party wants President Lungu to be impeached because he is a liability to this country.
But the ruling party said it had no time for engaging itself in nonsensical arguments with NDC at the expense of developing the country.
PF media director Sunday Chanda said his party was not interested in baseless arguments.
He added, “We have no time to waste in lecturing NDC on simple civics later on the law as it should be.”
Mr Chanda said PF was mindful that NDC has no representation in Parliament save for political turncoats who are hanging on to the membership of the PF for fear of a crushing defeat in by-elections.
“NDC cannot even marshal numbers to pass a simple majority motion in Parliament. NDC is just a political NGO.
“And the last time we checked, Eric Chanda was moving with a cross around his neck. Of late we hear he is moving with a gun and is apparently trigger happy.
“We definitely do not want to deal with such flip floppers making noise kwati makapa mumatipa (like slippers in the mud)”, said the PF media director.
